They can also help build muscle mass, improve bone health, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.
Animal protein sources, such as meat, poultry, and fish, are typically complete proteins, meaning they contain all of the essential amino acids. However, there are also many plant-based sources of protein, such as beans, lentils, and soy-based proteins such as tofu, tempeh, and edamame.
Vary Your Sources of Protein
