Broccoli is an excellent metabolism booster. It will help your body burn fat faster, which will help you lose weight. According to WebMD, broccoli is also very filling, which means it will get you full and leave less room for hunger cravings and late-night snacking. Scientists found that eating broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables (cruciferous meaning edible vegetables in the cabbage family including cauliflower, cabbage, kale, bok choy, broccoli, brussels sprouts, etc.) might prevent obesity by activating AMPK (adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase).
