I think a lot of times we feel like we have to be perfect for God to be ok with us. So, when we struggle, it can be difficult to go to the Lord for forgiveness and comfort. We often feel shame when we fall which can harden our hearts and keep us from going to His presence.
Proverbs 24:16 ESV for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.
Jesus came because we fall. He became sin so we can be forgiven and be empowered to live the life He wants us to live. Surrender your shame, surrender your pride, call on the name of Jesus and stand up! Stand up and follow Jesus. Allow Him to be lord of your life and lead you to your purpose. His ways keep us from stumbling and guide us to truth.
Psalm 116:8, NIV For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,
Today is the day we trust Jesus with our everything. And, if we fall, get up and run to His grace and mercy. He loves you more than you can comprehend and wants to set you free from what causes you to stumble. Rise up and follow Jesus.
