Forgiveness: Give Grace, Free Yourself
Forgiveness is one of the most beautiful and freeing words in the human vocabulary. However, it can also be one of the hardest things to master. Do...
Have you ever noticed that life can be hard? However, I think our lives become “hard” because we have a culture that focuses on the wrong things. Many of us feel stressed trying to live up to some ideal of success that our culture says is valuable. If you have enough followers, or drive the right cars, or wear the right clothes then you are valuable. If we would stop and understand what gives us true value, perhaps a lot of this stress we feel would go away. If we believed what the Bible says about us as God’s children, we might just think differently about ourselves and our worth.
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
We are! Father God loves us and wants to provide for our every need. In fact, He gave the highest price for us that He could ever give. His son, Jesus! The Father in Heaven sent His son, for the redemption of His creation.
1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
That price was the life of Jesus. He poured out His blood to forgive you of sin and grant us access to the Father. So we might live lives full of the power and presence of God. If you have ever questioned your worth, you now have the answer. Your worth is priceless!
