1) Stand Up
Staying on your feet—especially while you work—is a great way to add activity to your day since sitting for long periods of time can be detrimental to both your back and your waistline. Try standing while talking on the phone, scheduling appointments, watching TV, or, if you work from home, brainstorming new projects. The goal is to make standing a more regular part of your day rather than an occasional exception.
2) Stretch Every 30 Minutes
To increase circulation and prevent muscle strain, take time every 30 minutes to perform a set of stretches. Standing up and reaching for your toes is a great place to start. If you have tight calves or hamstrings, try dropping down into a squat position for ten seconds. Hold each stretch for 15-20 seconds.
3) Drink Water
Drinking more water can be a real challenge, but staying hydrated is incredibly important for your health and your weight loss goals—and it’s essential that you replenish after a workout.
