When it comes to selecting a Health Care Sharing Program that matches your lifestyle and budget, understanding your options is key. If you're exploring OneShare Health’s Catastrophic Program or the Catastrophic365 Program, you’re already on the path toward a cost-effective way to manage your health care sharing needs. But what’s the difference between these two? Let’s break it down to help you decide which one best fits your circumstances.

What is the Catastrophic Program?

The Catastrophic Program is designed for individuals and families who want to prepare for the unexpected. It’s a long-term Membership option that focuses on major, unforeseen medical events like accidents or serious illnesses. While it does not provide sharing for routine visits like Primary Care or Preventive Services, it does offer sharing for larger eligible medical needs after your Individual Sharing Amount (ISA) is met.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Virtual Urgent Care (Telemedicine): 100% shared with a $0 Visit Fee

  • Specialist Visits: Eligible with a $75 Visit Fee (only in relation to Eligible Hospitalization or Surgery)

  • Emergency Room: $500 Visit Fee (under $10,000); after that, subject to ISA

  • Hospitalization, X-rays, Surgery: Eligible for sharing after ISA

  • Lifetime Sharing Maximum: Up to $1,000,000

  • Program Duration: Ongoing, until you choose to cancel or change your Program

It’s an excellent option if you're looking for a more long-term safety net that prioritizes serious medical needs while keeping your Monthly Contributions low.

What is Catastrophic365?

The Catastrophic365 Program is our most affordable one-year Membership — a flexible, temporary solution for those who need a stopgap during life transitions like job changes, early retirement, or other temporary situations.

This one-year Program includes many of the same features as the Catastrophic Program but with a key difference — it automatically expires after 12 months. This makes it ideal for Members looking for a temporary, affordable solution.

Highlights include:

  • Virtual Urgent Care (Telemedicine): 100% shared with a $0 Visit Fee

  • Specialist Visits: $75 Visit Fee (only for eligible post-surgical or hospitalization care)

  • Emergency Room: $500 Visit Fee (under $10,000); over that is subject to ISA

  • Hospitalization, X-rays, Surgery: Eligible for sharing after ISA

  • Program Duration: One-year duration

  • ISA & Limits: Same as Catastrophic — ISA options of $5,000 or $10,000; Per Incident limits of $150k, $250k, or $500k

Which One Should You Choose?

Both Programs offer strong support for major medical needs, but your choice may depend on your current season of life and how long you expect to need this type of Health Care Sharing.

Choose Catastrophic365 if you:

  • Need a temporary solution for a transitional season

  • Are looking for the lowest possible Monthly Contribution

  • Prefer the simplicity of a 12-Month program with no worry about renewals

Choose the Catastrophic Program if you:

  • Want a long-term Membership option

  • Prefer more flexibility without re-enrolling annually

  • Are preparing for life’s unexpected moments with ongoing support

Both Programs Include Added Features

As with all OneShare Health Memberships, you’ll also receive access to:

  • 24/7 Virtual Urgent Care (Telemedicine) through the Clever Health Smart Virtual Care App
