Community

In today’s world we are more “connected” than any other time in human history. However, loneliness has reached an unprecedented level, and the effects can be devastating. God created us with a need for community. We know our relationship with Jesus is priority, but scripture says quite a bit about community and being connected with one another.

James 5:16 NKJV Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

We can find healing in community! There are a whole host of benefits that come from relationships like wise counsel and discipleship. Surround yourself with Godly people and see how beneficial it will be.

Proverbs 17:17 NKJV A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.

Proverbs 27:17 NIV As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

You are not meant to live this life alone. Seek Jesus first, then seek people who will support you and sharpen you into all that God has called you to be.
