No matter how hard we try, we will fall short of the perfection required by God. It is inevitable. The question is, why did you fall? There are countless reasons we stumble in our walk with Jesus. Many times it’s because we don’t trust that God will come through for us, so we take matters into our own hands. Which, honestly, is the worst offense of all. Jesus paid a heavy price for us and we can trust Him to work in every circumstance we face. No one is more faithful, more trustworthy than Jesus. Stumbling happens when we doubt Jesus!
Psalm 119:165, Those who love Your law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble.
Jesus lived a perfect life and fulfilled the law. If love for His law can keep us from stumbling, can you imagine how loving Jesus would keep us from falling.
James 1:6-8 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
When we are unstable is when we are most likely to fall. Don’t be double minded! Trust in His faithfulness! Trust in His love for you! Trust in Jesus alone! Put your full faith In Jesus and trust in His unshakable love for you.
